Biography

Hi, I'm Steve Martin (no, not the comedian). I spent 20 years selling complex enterprise solutions in Silicon Valley in positions from salesperson to vice president, at companies ranging in size from start-ups to billions of dollars. I have written two books about sales. "Heavy Hitter Sales Wisdom: Proven Sales Warfare Strategies, Secrets of Persuasion, and Common-Sense Tips for Success" (John Wiley publishers: October 2006) and "Heavy Hitter Selling: How Successful Salespeople Use Language and Intuition to Persaude Customers to Buy" (John Wiley Publishers: April 2005). I also wrote a business case study book about the six years I worked for Informix Software titled, "The Real Story of Informix Software and Phil White: Lessons in Business and Leadership for the Executive Team" (Sand Hill Publishing: November 2005).

Interests

I'm a lifetime student of the human nature of customers while in the process of making a purchase decision.
